A new way to experience rome

Tuscolano area, anciently developed by the Romans to connect the nearby Tuscolo to Rome, it is located approximately 6 km south-est of Rome historical center. An area rich of architectural styles but mostly recognized for its “social” architecture of the post WWII. Home and inspiration of Pasolini Film maker and the home of the Cinecittà Studios, where the italian cinematographic golden years occurred. Here, away from the tourist attractions is where you can savor roman authenticity and community.

Since we opened the City Guest House 20 years ago we’ve been offering an alternative experience than your typical hotel: we’re outside the historic center and slap bang in the middle of the real Rome. We believe that our guests leave with a richer and more authentic experience of the city.

City Guest House House has evolved in the years to meet new trends and necessities

We’ve re-thought the spaces of the City Guest House and introduced new types of rooms: go to our Accommodation page for an more info and photos on our hotel rooms or studio apartments.

We also offer 6-bedroom apartment ideal for families or groups of friends travelling together where spaces are arranged around a central kitchen and dining area. All rooms with private bathrooms.

More importantly, it reflect traveller’s changing needs and expectations as they visit new places and experience new cultures… and food

What better way to transform a reception then into a Bistrot? We thought there would be only added benefits like a glass of dry white, a proper espresso or a fresh juice. The Convivo Bistrot will be open open all day long and offer breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Self check-in, do it yourself, but don’t worry you are never alone

We embrace technology but only when it helps make life easier, like with our new Key Cafe system or the option to communicate with us via your preferred channel, including Whatsapp.But if you prefer to interact with someone in the flesh there is always a member of staff you can buzz.

A different space: generous, elegant and homely

The City Guest House was ‘re-engineered’ to provide more options to travellers, whether travelling alone or in a big group.

We did not aim to fit as many ‘bums on beds’ as possible. Quite the opposite, as we’ve seen over the years: comfort, privacy, space and customer satisfaction are big selling points.

Foodie heaven at Accasadì

We opened Accasadì back in 2007 to offer our guests the same type of dishes they would find in any Roman family’s home. It quickly became popular with locals, which is a better measure than any online review.
